As a Registered Nurse specializing in surgical care, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive perioperative support to patients in recovery, procedure, and operating environments.
Your role will involve ensuring that operating rooms are adequately stocked with sterile surgical instruments, linens, and necessary supplies.
You will develop and execute tailored nursing care plans for surgical patients, ensuring their readiness for procedures by meticulously cleaning and disinfecting the surgical areas.
In addition, you will assist surgeons during operations, applying sterile techniques for the handling of medical instruments and equipment throughout the surgical process.
Collaboration with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals will be essential, particularly regarding patient medication and post-operative care.
Updating patient records and medical files will be part of your responsibilities, alongside assisting in the procurement, maintenance, and secure storage of surgical tools and supplies.
Moreover, you will provide patients with detailed post-operative care instructions and address any inquiries they may have.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Surgery.
Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing is essential.
Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
Certifications Required:
BLS, RN MA License
