  • Manage retail and commercial deposits by verifying that all necessary documentation is accurately completed.
  • Process check cashing, savings withdrawals, and cash advances, ensuring proper authorization and compliance with established limits.
  • Utilize computer systems to track account activities, verify balances, and address customer issues.
  • Assist with night deposit operations, including logging and processing deposits, and issuing receipts.
  • Promote additional banking products and services, directing clients to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Issue cashier's checks and manage safe deposit box access for customers.
  • Handle stop payment requests and loan payments efficiently.
  • Ensure daily cash drawer balancing and accuracy of cash returned to the vault.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving issues within the scope of authority.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with wire transfers and mail sorting as required.
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the correct bank personnel.
  • Compile data for various reports, including currency transactions and monthly audits.
  • Process travelers checks, ATM deposits, and correct deposit slips as necessary.
  • Assist in the daily opening and closing of the vault, ensuring accurate currency and coin balance.
  • Perform document copying, scanning, and faxing as needed.

Candidate Profile:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prior experience in cash handling is preferred.
    • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
    • Proficient in basic ten-key operations.
    • Capability to follow instructions provided in various formats.
    • Strong verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively represent the organization to clients and colleagues.
    • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
    • Reliability in attending scheduled shifts consistently.

Work Environment: This role requires the ability to work indoors in a shared, climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands for this position include frequent sitting, repetitive hand movements, and occasional standing and walking. The employee must be able to lift or reach with hands and arms as necessary.
