Executive Housekeeping Director, Palm Bay, FL

Job SummaryAs an Executive Housekeeping Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations. You will lead a team of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers, coordinating their tasks and serving as a liaison between administration and hospital departments. Your primary goal is to ensure exceptional cleanliness and safety standards are met while maintaining efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Responsible for departmental financial data and statistics.
- Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor unit expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
- Budget Development: Develop and recommend department operating budgets.
- Coordination: Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments.
- Communication: Actively communicate with administration and other hospital departments.
- Leadership: Plan, prioritize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.
- Policies and Procedures: Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Four year college degree or equivalent related experience required.
- Experience: Three years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
- Analytical Skills: Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data.
- Business Acumen: General intuition for business.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Customer Service: High customer service and quality demeanor.
- Time Management: Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
- Leadership: Ability to apply a participative approach to leading staff, organize and prioritize tasks, and develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements.
- Technology: Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
