Job Description

SNI Technology is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis with the potential for conversion to permanent employment upon completion of the contract portion of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Support: Provide day-to-day support for network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Network Design and Resiliency: Design and implement a highly available global enterprise network.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems as necessary, including participation in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
  • Documentation and Standards: Create and maintain documentation on all aspects of network infrastructure, including participation in the development of hardware, software, and documentation standards.
  • Consultative Services: Interact with various parties in a consultative manner to gather and understand requirements in order to implement acceptable solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in the design, configuration, implementation, management, and monitoring of an enterprise network, including VOIP and wireless.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies, demonstrated experience with the Cisco family of products, strong knowledge in routing protocols, and experience managing and troubleshooting wireless technologies.
  • Education: B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNP Certification: CCNP certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position is in the range of $50.00 to $65.00 per hour during the 6-month contract duration of the assignment.
