Senior Project Manager, Commercial

As a Senior Project Manager, Commercial at Kohler, you will play a critical role in executing new product launches through our manufacturing sites worldwide for the Bathing Fixtures category.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage New Product Development projects/Migration Projects.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the development of project timelines and maintain them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive supporting teams like Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing & Supply Chain towards on-time completion of pre-production builds and pilot builds on NPD projects.
- Facilitate project activities to minimize project timelines.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including development expenses, capital tooling, and expense tooling.
- Guide teams to develop new products that meet cost targets, creating preliminary product cost estimates in conjunction with engineering.
- Support Marketing and ID teams during CR and DR processes by liaising with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to drive cost and budget estimates and project feasibility studies.
- Work with Department Heads and Resource Managers to allocate resources for projects.
- Manage project data collection for NPD process gate exits and release for shipment documents.
- Facilitate team meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Act as a Change Agent/Process Improvement:
- Provide feedback and ideas/solutions for process improvements, including the New Product Development process and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in the improvement of project management practices within the Program Management group.
- Provide cost reduction input to the Value Engineering group.
- Support Marketing in developing product Roadmaps and preparing for NPS meetings.
- Leadership & Mentoring:
- Assist/mentor less experienced team members, rotation program engineers as needed.
- Provide development feedback on team members to their functional supervisors.
- Support managing Platform meetings and top project reviews in the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a product development-related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Design) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in concurrent product development (project management, product design, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering).
- Demonstrate the capability to build cohesive high-performance teams, improve development processes, and communicate effectively with associates and executives.
- Global product development experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel 10-20% including international.
