Key Responsibilities:

The Cinema Operations Supervisor will support the General Manager in guiding and mentoring the team to deliver outstanding experiences for our guests, foster an atmosphere where engagement, diversity, and showmanship are prioritized, set benchmarks for professionalism, and provide exceptional service, cleanliness, and quality in food & beverage offerings.

Overview: The full-time Cinema Operations Supervisor is an hourly employee whose main role is to oversee the operations and management of a cinema and its staff, acting as a representative of Regal in alignment with our mission and policies.

Core Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Consistent and regular attendance.
  • Enforcing and implementing all cinema policies.
  • Training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management staff.
  • Performing all staff roles as necessary.
  • Operating all projection and audio-visual equipment within the cinema, including film handling and maintenance as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with alcohol certification and training where applicable.
  • Monitoring risk management concerning employee and patron safety, loss prevention, and emergency situations.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Managing financial transactions, including counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts.
  • Adhering to dress code standards.
  • Completing or progressing through the management certification program.
  • Reviewing and understanding operational manuals.
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and counseling staff, with oversight from senior management.
  • Controlling costs, including managing operating expenses and inventory.
  • Supervising maintenance of the cinema facilities.
  • Promoting feature film engagements and scheduling showtimes.
  • Reading and understanding training materials on various workplace topics.
Additional Responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or other senior management.

Education/Experience:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. At least three months of supervisory experience or six months of cinema experience with completion of the Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof, is preferred.

If the cinema serves alcohol, the individual must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol in accordance with local laws and complete any required training.

Language Skills:

Strong public speaking abilities and effective communication skills in both oral and written forms are essential.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform calculations accurately and efficiently.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, and evaluate information to recommend solutions.

Computer Skills:

Experience with PC platforms and basic office software is necessary.

Personal Skills:

Ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues, demonstrating sensitivity to others' feelings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct supervision of a team of employees, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws.
