Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner - Clinical Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As a key member of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to critically ill pediatric patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in the PICU, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience in pediatrics or neonatal respiratory care.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret physician orders, perform therapy, and communicate outcomes to the healthcare team.
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with the healthcare team.
