About the Role:

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Aequor Inc is a vital member of our team, responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify voice and speech disorders, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address diverse patient needs.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families about speech disorders, including their causes, management, and prevention strategies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
  • Communication: Report patient progress to relevant parties, including family members, educators, and medical professionals.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A valid Illinois license or certification, or the ability to obtain one.
  • A Professional Educator License (PEL).
  • Experience working with specific conditions or age groups is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with computers and healthcare databases.
  • Attentive and empathetic with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
