POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to fill the role of Environmental Field Technician. This full-time position involves supporting operators with various tasks, including the installation of matting and stabilization activities such as seeding, straw application, and planting of trees, shrubs, and bioengineering materials. A strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. Candidates should be prepared to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to project directives from the Foreman
- Interpret blueprints and project specifications for effective job layout
- Operate equipment for digging, loading, unloading, and installing plant materials across various terrains
- Safely utilize a range of tools, including hand tools and power equipment
- Ensure proper cleaning and storage of construction tools and equipment
- Implement sediment control measures, plant trees and shrubs, and install erosion control matting
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred experience in landscaping and supervisory roles
- High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work outdoors, including prolonged periods of walking or standing on varied terrain
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Physical capability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Adherence to all company policies and regulations
