Dishroom Steward

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dishroom Steward to join our culinary team at Sage Restaurant Group. As a key member of our kitchen support staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary dishroom environment, ensuring the efficient operation of our dishwashing equipment, and providing exceptional support to our culinary team.

• Dishroom Operations: Gather and rinse dirty dishware, load and unload dishwashing machines, and maintain a clean and organized dishroom environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our dishwashing equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
• Support to Culinary Team: Provide assistance to our culinary team members as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
• Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including mopping kitchen floors, cleaning work surfaces, and gathering trash.

• Basic Knowledge of Dishwashing: Possess a basic understanding of dishwashing principles and procedures.
• Physical Demands: Be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and travel up to 300 feet.
• Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
