As a key member of First National Bank Alaska, the *Best Place to Work in Alaska*, the Central Loan Processing Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the loan documentation process for consumer loans. This position offers a competitive salary of $63,300 annually, with additional compensation based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Central Loan Processing Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of the loan processing team, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and providing essential support to Loan Officers. The primary duties include:
- Overseeing and managing the workflow of loan files, ensuring timely completion by collaborating with Loan Officers, processors, and closers. This includes reviewing loan documentation for accuracy and complexity before assignment.
- Identifying and addressing any processing or documentation issues that may arise between clients, bank staff, and third-party entities regarding approved loans.
- Keeping the team updated on new policies and procedures related to document preparation, while also maintaining current operational guidelines and conducting monthly training sessions.
- Reviewing and approving financial transactions, including general ledger entries and wire transfers, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assisting Loan Officers with complex documentation and conducting final reviews of loan documents prior to closing.
- Developing and implementing training schedules for loan processors and management associates.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
This position involves supervising a team within the Central Loan Processing Unit, including responsibilities such as hiring, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required, along with two years of experience in commercial loan processing or lending, or five years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory role.
- Preferred Experience: A Bachelor's degree and three years of commercial loan processing experience, or six years of related experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong management abilities in a high-volume environment, familiarity with financial documentation, and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Language and Reasoning Skills
Ability to interpret business documents and effectively communicate with various stakeholders is essential. Candidates should also possess strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose solutions.
Physical and Working Conditions
This role requires regular sitting, use of hands for handling documents, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
