Position Overview: This role will report to the Mine Capital Portfolio Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective execution of capital projects, focusing on safety, budget adherence, scheduling, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Adhere to Nutrien's Project Management policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Evaluate, manage, communicate, and report on project status and associated risks.
  • Develop essential project documentation, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Cost Estimates, Risk Registers, Schedules, and Execution Plans.
  • Oversee all necessary project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure successful project development, execution, and completion.
  • Provide recommendations and participate in decision-making regarding technical aspects of projects.
  • Assist in planning future Capital budgets, project scopes, cost estimations, and project evaluations.
  • Act as a safety leader and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Encourage a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or Technical Diploma.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to manage a diverse and substantial workload.
  • Application of Project Management principles and techniques in line with PMBOK standards.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple disciplines.
  • Innovative and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions that align with project goals and company values.
  • Strong technical writing and professional communication skills.
  • Proficient in engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in estimating project costs and forecasting cash flows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Familiarity with Planisware, Primavera scheduling, and Oracle Business Intelligence software is advantageous.
