Position Overview:
As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, you will deliver respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, diagnostics, and therapeutic services to patients across various age groups and care settings.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols, typically acquired through graduation from an AMA accredited Respiratory Care program with an Associate Degree. A Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences is advantageous.
Experience in critical care and familiarity with pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary laboratory settings is preferred.
Licensure Requirements:
Active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license is mandatory. Candidates must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care or registry eligible, with certification obtained within one year of employment. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. NRP and PALS certifications are preferred.
