Position Overview:
As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, you will deliver respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, diagnostics, and therapeutic services to patients across various care settings.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols, typically acquired through graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program with an Associate Degree. A Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences is advantageous.
Experience in critical care and familiarity with pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary laboratory settings is beneficial.
Licensure Requirements:
- Active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license is mandatory.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care, or eligibility to obtain within one year of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
