Position Summary

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose: The Automated Press Operator is responsible for running automated production lines, monitoring equipment during operation, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate production lines according to specified requirements.
  • Inspect and monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning during production.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure them to confirm compliance with specifications.
  • Accurately report production quantities following company protocols.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of errors and defects.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as necessary.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and internal safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience with setups and changeovers.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with metal stamping presses is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
