Job Summary:The Tower Operating Room is a high-acuity, fast-paced, multispecialty operating room and Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma facility. We are seeking an RN UNIT SUPERVISOR to join our team full-time.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the OR team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance to OR staff to promote professional growth and development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- One year of Operating Room nursing experience required.
- Two years or more of direct OR Registered Nurse Supervisory experience highly desired.
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from AHA.
- CNOR preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and healthcare software.
