The Commercial Banking Assistant II plays a vital role in supporting the Relationship Manager throughout the loan process, from initial application to closing and booking transactions, including renewals and modifications, while also addressing ongoing client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the loan process and coordinate activities with the Portfolio Manager and Commercial Banker to ensure successful origination.
  • Facilitate the commercial loan process by engaging with loan customers through various communication methods, representing the Commercial Bankers as needed.
  • Assist borrowers in gathering all necessary documentation, ensuring accuracy in the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Manage document imaging and create electronic credit files.
  • Ensure compliance and customer verifications, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Request and compile due diligence materials and third-party reports for review.
  • Collaborate with Loan Operations to support pre-closing and closing activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Engage with credit teams to update financial analyses as new information is received.
  • Monitor and manage loan documentation issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Process paid-off loans and manage customer accounts efficiently.
  • Complete annual training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial banking preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking operations, policies, and regulations preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Full time

Compensation: The targeted salary for this role is $26.01 per hour, with potential for incentive compensation and benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Health Savings Account, and Paid Time Off. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.
