About the Role

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner to join our team of professionals in the Northeast region. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to take on technical, project management, and marketing responsibilities for environmental projects related to transportation, resilience, urban development, and alternative energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform environmental impact studies, including NEPA/SEQRA/CEQR, MEPA, and CEPA documents, and sustainability planning for energy, transportation, resilience, and urban infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct extensive research, data collection, analysis, and preparation of written technical documentation pertaining to land use, policy, demographics, including Environmental Justice populations, hazard risk, and vulnerability, transportation, and transit.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Cultural Resources, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of environmental and/or transportation planning experience.
  • 3-5 years of NYC CEQR and ULURP experience desired.
  • Strong written and oral communication and data management/visualization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Experience with GIS a plus.
