Job Profile
The role of the Photography Sample Assistant is a vital part of the Photography team at Seasalt Cornwall. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the photography sample set and associated administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the photography sample set, ensuring all products are labelled, kept tidy, and in launch order on the rail.
- Track borrowed samples and liaise with other departments when needing to borrow from their set.
- Help unpack and log new season samples and store on rails.
- Rack up products for photoshoots, with a focus on model shoots.
- Collate samples and source missing samples from other departments' sets where needed.
- Use the product system to log new samples and check sample comments, ensuring only correct samples are being photographed.
- Ensure all team members are aware of any relevant changes.
- Group products into outfits for photoshoots using shot sheets provided.
- Steam garments in advance of shoots.
- Attend location shoots as a runner, help the stylist dress the models, and keep the sample set organized while on the shoot.
- Get stuck in and lend a hand where needed.
- Drive the location van on shoots.
- Help ensure the studio environment is kept clear and tidy before and after photoshoots.
- Help pack up samples to return to the warehouse at the end of the season.
- Follow correct procedures for transfer orders and ensure all items are accounted for.
- Assist the Stylist in booking product meetings to run through approved samples and sample issues.
- Have an overarching knowledge of all samples and any potential issues.
- Assist the Photography department with answering calls, filing, and general administration as and when required.
- Adhere to the Photoshoot Critical Path at all times.
- Ensure daily queries and emails are answered efficiently.
- Establish and maintain close relations with all other departments.
Requirements
- Strong administrative skills, including an excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work at pace and adapt to changes quickly.
- Hardworking, proactive, and able to use your own initiative and think on your feet.
- Team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Experience of managing others to deadlines.
- Confidence to engage with colleagues across the business and follow up as needed.
