Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to join our team at Ashley Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during operations, including pre-surgery setup and post-operation tasks.
- Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Pass instruments to physicians during surgery.
- Continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Assist with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with surgery and/or medical services, preferred.
- Graduate of Surgical Tech Program, preferred.
- BLS certification within 6 months.
