We are seeking a seasoned heavy civil construction professional to join our growing company in the Los Angeles area who can bring immediate knowledge and expertise to our company and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Project Management, Cost Estimating, Construction Scheduling or Field Engineering, and will be knowledgeable in public works construction and heavy civil construction.
The heavy civil construction consultant will be responsible for planning, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating construction projects from the conceptual development stage through final construction and closeout.
The role will be based in Greater Los Angeles, CA, with a combination of project site work, in-office work, and remote work as required to perform the job successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, estimate, and coordinate construction projects
- Develop and implement project management plans
- Conduct constructability reviews and provide recommendations
- Provide cost estimating and budgeting services
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- 5-15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or a related field
- Strong knowledge of civil, heavy civil, or public works construction
- Strong experience in project management, construction management, construction scheduling, cost estimating, and field engineering
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and ability to build and sequence a schedule from drawings and plans
- Working knowledge of heavy bid estimating software
- Ability to lead meetings and engage with senior client staff
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
