Position Summary
NOV - Fiber Glass Systems is actively seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to fulfill a vital role in Burkburnett, TX.

The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement of all necessary materials for our manufacturing processes, ensuring prompt delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.

As an integral part of our procurement division, the Manufacturing Buyer will engage with various departments, including production, engineering, and finance, to enhance inventory management and contribute to the overall effectiveness of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and acquire materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of ordered materials to align with production schedules.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers that meet quality, pricing, and delivery expectations.
• Manage expenditure categories for assigned facilities.
• Negotiate contracts regarding terms and pricing.
• Maintain comprehensive supplier insurance documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual bidding processes.
• Address account discrepancies and ensure accurate bill payments.
• Adhere to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Comply with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Job Requirements

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, utilize hands for handling objects, and communicate effectively.

The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and perform tasks such as stooping or kneeling.

Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel is anticipated to be less than 20%.
