Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the procurement, organization, and distribution of parts for service technicians. This position also involves managing daily freight and providing customer assistance as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between the parts and service departments to ensure the timely delivery of the correct parts in appropriate quantities and conditions.
  • Monitor customer traffic, work orders, warranty claims, and aftermarket promotions to proactively supply necessary parts for the service team.
  • Verify the receipt of shipments and assist in placing urgent and stock orders to fulfill the service department's requirements.
  • Support the receiving process for parts inventory and transfers as needed.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Ensure the parts department is kept clean and organized.
  • Follow up on shortages and expedite resolutions by communicating effectively with the Service Manager and Parts Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Foster a positive and professional relationship with colleagues, management, and support teams, emphasizing teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Safely operate a forklift and other related equipment as necessary.
  • Work in both office and workshop settings, which includes frequent use of a computer and related peripherals.
  • Regularly lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of parts and equipment.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively between different groups to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Experience with standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet tools.
