About the Opportunity

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist, NS35 NICU to join their team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate standards of the specialty's nursing practice.
  • Guide subordinate nursing staff in assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of disability/illness, management, technology and resources for their own learning needs and their patients.
  • Anticipate, identify and address the needs of patients through observation, specialty assessment, patient rapport, staff and significant others to provide optimal health care for the patient.
