Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our Employee Health Services team as a Medical Support Specialist. This role will provide practical nursing care to team members, ensuring their health and well-being in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care to team members in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and recognized professional standards.

• Assists in disability case management, general nursing care, and health screening for team members.

• Coordinates pre-employment and annual health screening, administers medications per protocol, and provides first aid treatment.

• Ensures delivery of occupational health and safety services to all Park Nicollet Health Services team members, maintaining compliance with community and regulatory standards.

Work Schedule:

.80 FTE, M-F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, ATC, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:

LPN: Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing, maintain a current state license, and have one or more years of nursing experience.

MA: Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, have one or more years of experience, and maintain current BLS certification.

EMT: Graduate of an accredited EMT program, maintain current MN EMT License, and have current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills
  • Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality
  • One or more years of nursing experience in Occupational Medicine or workers' compensation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
  • Listening and telephone etiquette skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge
