Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work with students in a special education setting to assess and develop their physical development skills. The ideal candidate will have a license in occupational therapy and a current Kansas license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer evaluations to determine eligibility and recommendations for treatment needs
  • Conduct developmental screenings as needed
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct and/or indirect occupational therapy services
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and education materials to remediate motor skill deficits
  • Document all students' records in a timely manner
  • Participate in district-wide work and professional days
  • Maintain appropriate professional standards of confidentiality and care
Requirements
  • License in occupational therapy
  • Current Kansas license
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with detailed information/data and translate therapy data into meaningful educational activities
Working Conditions

The Occupational Therapist will work in a special education setting and will be required to stand and walk for prolonged periods. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects.
