The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring seamless client registration and reimbursement processes. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing front desk functions, client registration, and collecting necessary information for services.
Key Responsibilities- Acts as a receptionist, greeting all clients and visitors.
- Makes appointments and reminder calls for multiple providers.
- Maintains the front desk schedules and performs daily preparation activities.
- Collects necessary information, such as income verification, voter registration, and current care registration.
- Registers new clients, gathering necessary paperwork and electronically opening cases at admission.
- Verifies benefits with insurance carriers and enters the information into CMHC.
- Obtains and monitors authorizations and reimbursement processes.
- Maintains specific client data electronically, including current care numbers.
- Records co-pay information and electronically enters cash receipts.
- Participates in the development of procedures to enhance current practices.
- Processes reports for specific data.
- Performs light secretarial duties.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one-year experience in working with Third Party Payers and/or one-year support experience in a human service office environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a computer environment.
This position requires minimum physical exertion. There may be some light lifting involved in the day-to-day performance of the job.
