Bodily Injury Non-Litigation Claims Representative

This role is responsible for handling non-litigation bodily injury auto claims, including uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in auto insurance claims handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate claim validity, evaluate policy coverages, and determine if special investigation unit referrals are warranted.
  • Make prompt contact with policyholders and other parties involved in the loss to obtain necessary documentation and conduct recorded statements.
  • Establish initial reserves based on gathered information and adjust as needed through claim completion.
  • Negotiate timely and appropriate settlements with claimants, attorneys, or other parties, and issue proper payments as needed.
  • Identify questionable risks, red flags, and fraud indicators, and alert the special investigation unit when applicable.
  • Establish and maintain an organized diary system to ensure all claims are properly handled in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to state/local regulations, including NJ/PA/Michigan Unfair Claims Practices and Guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years BI claims handling experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and provide superior customer service over the phone and through written correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and settlement skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new systems and technologies.

Compensation: $60,320 - $79,040 annually based on experience. Schedule: Full-Time; 8:30am-5pm. This position is hybrid based out of our offices in Princeton, NJ or Detroit, MI.
