Clinical Nurse Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for communicating clinical information, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, and performing clinical office procedures.
Responsibilities- Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
- Administer immunizations and injections as necessary.
- Counsel patients on health-related issues.
- Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Coordinate referrals to other medical services.
- Secure consultations and specialists.
- Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages.
- Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing.
- Maintain quality assurance for office lab.
- Assist physician with office/surgical procedures.
- Observe universal precautions.
- Observe proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine.
• Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
• Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
• One year of experience in a medical office environment.
• Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audioscope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications.
• Ability to sit, stand, communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds.
