Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for communicating clinical information, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, and performing clinical office procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs
  • Administer immunizations and injections as necessary
  • Counsel patients on health-related issues
  • Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
  • Coordinate referrals to other medical services
  • Secure consultations and specialists
  • Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages
  • Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing
  • Maintain quality assurance for office lab
  • Assist physician with office/surgical procedures
  • Observe universal precautions and proper lifting techniques
  • Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine
Requirements
  • Formal education/training: Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • Workplace experience: One year of experience in a medical office environment
  • Equipment and skills training: Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audioscope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications
