About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Specialist to join our team at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiogram exams, including general echo, TEE, pediatric echo, stress echo, and contrast echoes, to aid cardiologists in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities in high-pressure situations, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics, adhering to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Document technical findings and preliminary observations within the scope of practice, as set by department policies.
  • Participate in the training of echo technologists or students and contribute to research and general echocardiography advancements.
Qualifications
  • Must be RDCS registered from ARDMS.
  • Must have a minimum of basic understanding of general echocardiography.
  • BLS certificate (American Heart) is required.
