Occupational Therapist Job Description

UnityPoint Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at UnityPoint at Home. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their goals and regain independence in their daily lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the patient's place of residence, utilizing clinical expertise, physical assessment, teaching, and skilled therapy interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of the home health plan of care under the direction of the physician.
  • Deliver therapy intervention and treatment directed by the physician, consistent with clinical best practices and resulting in high-quality, improved outcomes, and exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed or otherwise regulated as an Occupational Therapist by the state in which practicing.
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for Occupational Therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
  • One year of experience caring for a similar patient population.
