Are you a skilled technician looking for a challenging role in the semiconductor industry? We are seeking a Field Service Engineer II to join our team at Applied Materials. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading our cutting-edge equipment at customer sites around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues and improve equipment efficiency
  • Document all work activities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Represent Applied Materials professionally to customers, demonstrating a customer-first mindset
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification
  • 2-4 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
What to Expect:
  • Travel approximately 70-90% of the time, both domestically and internationally
  • Support rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on customer needs
  • Participate in training and alternate customer site visits, as required
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk extensively
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Work in tight spaces
  • Bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Work in an environment with noise that may be challenging for some individuals
