We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Associate or Senior Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager for public works and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have professional engineering experience in public infrastructure projects, coupled with proven project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with District and regulatory standards.
- Research and prepare project design requirements, perform calculations, and prepare time and material cost estimates.
- Provide technical assistance to contractors and subcontractors, and respond to requests for information from stakeholders and customers.
- Inspect and verify quality of workmanship, conduct submittal reviews, and authorize certification of project completions.
- Verify and approve progress payments and contract retainage.
- Professional engineering experience in public infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of project management.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing projects effectively from inception to completion.
- Civil Associate Engineers must hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, and a license as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Senior Civil Engineers must have five years of professional engineering experience, including three years in a role similar to that of an Associate Civil Engineer with the District.
