Job Summary

Children's Mercy Hospital (MO) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Abuse Pediatrician to join its Division of Child Adversity and Resilience. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical services to children and families affected by child abuse and neglect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage children with suspected child abuse and neglect
  • Collaborate with social workers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of child abuse pediatrics
  • Develop and implement prevention programs and community-based initiatives to reduce child abuse and neglect
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders on child abuse and neglect
Requirements
  • Fellowship-trained and/or board-certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong research and quality improvement skills
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and respect for inclusion of individuals with diverse backgrounds
