About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Summit Commons Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Providence. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the proper serving temperature of food and maintain visual appeal.
  • Monitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and adhere to sanitation and storage policies.
  • Assure proper portion control and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • One year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
