Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) to join our team at Travel Nurse Source. As a CVICU RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients with primary cardiac diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform intense monitoring of patients and care for those requiring Intra-aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
- Work closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist in quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction.
- Respond to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital and assist with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients.
- Provide emotional support for patients and their families, as well as educate patients and their families on how to manage post-treatment home care needs.

- Preventing Medication Errors
