The Lead Mechanic - VIP Interior is responsible for overseeing the maintenance tasks in the service, repair, and overhaul of aircraft to ensure airworthiness. This role ensures timely completion of tasks and provides training and mentorship for an assigned function area. The Lead Mechanic assists with Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities for short periods of time.
Key Responsibilities- Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies.
- Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
- Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approves and returns to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date.
- Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew.
- Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of four (4) years' recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience preferred.
- Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
CompensationThe base salary for this position is $ expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly wage will be based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
