Job Overview:
The Evening Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring a clean and welcoming environment within the institution. This role involves daily cleaning tasks that contribute to a healthy atmosphere conducive to learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in restrooms, ensuring supplies such as paper and soap are available.
  • Monitor and clean various areas as needed throughout the shift.
  • Organize janitorial storage areas to ensure efficiency.
  • Regularly check and empty exterior waste receptacles.
  • Vacuum and maintain upholstered furniture as required.
  • Perform spot cleaning on walls and windows as necessary.
  • Clean chalkboards and smart boards regularly.
  • Ensure entrances are tidy, including managing outdoor ashtrays and litter.
  • Attend to student lounge areas during designated times.
  • Manage recyclables by transporting them to appropriate disposal areas and cleaning receptacles.
  • Inspect parking areas for litter and dispose of it accordingly.
  • Report any maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.

  • Ability to maintain a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, for extended periods.
  • Capable of operating computers and other relevant equipment.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, or transporting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
  • Competence in performing maintenance tasks in various environments.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a valid driver's license are required.
