Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex maintenance and repairs at our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including building and grounds maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve results, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Handle daily assignments and track the life cycle of tasks in our facilities work order system.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations, responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects and tasks, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or coursework in a trade-related field.
  • Five years of directly related paid work experience, or any equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Valid New York State driver's license, with a driving record within our agency's policy, and regular access to a reliable and properly insured vehicle for travel throughout the county.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) and work in a physically demanding environment.
