Key Responsibilities:

The Fleet Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Fleet by overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of all fleet-related initiatives to optimize the utilization of company resources.

  • Ensure the safety and integrity of all vehicles in the fleet.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department regarding incidents involving fleet assets.
  • Oversee the reporting and repair processes for vehicle damages.
  • Review and validate daily and weekly fleet inspections from all operational centers.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Work with fleet teams to authorize repairs and manage purchase orders.
  • Conduct training sessions on safety and operational procedures.
  • Schedule necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Negotiate service rates with repair facilities.
  • Manage the operations of company-owned repair facilities.
  • Supervise and organize the work of subordinate staff to meet organizational goals.
  • Engage with vendors for the procurement of automotive supplies and equipment.
  • Stay informed on technological advancements and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor expenses and analyze costs related to purchases and repairs.
  • Foster a positive work environment and develop employee incentive programs.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate constructively with other departments and external partners.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Assist management in handling personnel matters, including recruitment and performance evaluations.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to enhance team capabilities.
  • Involve management staff in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and address potential personnel risks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and contractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Class A CDL preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity.
