Job Title: Restoration Technician

At RestoreCore, we're seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our disaster recovery team, you'll play a vital role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and evaluate the severity of damage to determine the necessary resources and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties, noting structural and content impact, and document damage through photos, diagrams, and written descriptions.
  • Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification services following industry standards, execute fire damage mitigation, including soot and smoke removal, and apply anti-microbial treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the mitigation and restoration process, and address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of all restoration projects, including time logs, expense reports, and customer communication, and report project progress to the Emergency Services Project Manager.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and handling of restoration equipment and tools, and report any equipment malfunction or need for repairs to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, and participate in safety training sessions and stay updated on industry safety standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred.
  • IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and repair techniques.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work on-call for emergency services.
Working Conditions:
  • This role requires both indoor and outdoor work, often in varied weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work on-call and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and noise is common.
