Position: Taproom Lead

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary leader during scheduled shifts, managing all aspects of taproom operations.
  • Offer expert recommendations for food and beverage selections.
  • Oversee staff performance, ensuring smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and taproom area.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Inspire staff morale and exemplify professional conduct.
  • Train new and existing employees through continuous feedback and mentoring.
  • Proactively handle operational decisions during shifts, including staff support, customer engagement, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Perform opening and closing tasks, manage cash drawers, generate end-of-day reports, and relay important updates to management.
  • Engage with customers to provide outstanding service and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure high standards of beverage and food quality through rigorous cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the management team.

General Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality or service management.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Proficient in the safe use of necessary tools and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with office software and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Basset certification, Cicerone certifications, food handling certifications).
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with managerial responsibilities.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage plus tips, commensurate with experience.
  • Typical pay rate around $38.70 per hour.
