Position Overview

The Engineering Project Specialist will deliver engineering and technical assistance to the Wastewater Solutions division. You will receive practical, on-the-job training while enhancing your engineering expertise. This role primarily focuses on providing detailed design engineering for wastewater initiatives within the Food & Beverage sector, particularly for facilities involved in the production of dairy products such as cheese, butter, and sour cream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously and in collaboration with the Lead Project Engineer to facilitate project development, design engineering, and project management.
  • Engage in diverse projects, predominantly centered on wastewater treatment and water reclamation in the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Design intricate wastewater treatment systems, including anaerobic digestion, activated sludge processes, membrane bioreactors, and more.
  • Develop innovative design concepts for new wastewater treatment facilities or enhancements to existing systems, ensuring compliance with customer and environmental standards.
  • Responsibilities encompass environmental permitting, conceptual and detailed design, engineering assessments, and budgetary considerations.
  • Proficiency in standard productivity software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling is advantageous.
  • Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  • Capability to analyze challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
