Key Responsibilities
The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in welcoming and assisting hotel guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience. This position involves addressing inquiries from guests and visitors, as well as managing payment processing in accordance with hotel protocols, all while upholding the highest standards of service.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to guests during their arrival and departure.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes, including reservations and confirmations.
- Maintain an organized front desk operation on a daily basis.
- Exhibit multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a strong service orientation.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, handling mail, phone calls, and written messages, while documenting relevant information.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel services, features, and room amenities, while coordinating special requests from guests.
- Adhere to PAH Management's operational policies and procedures, particularly those related to cash and credit card transactions, safety, and security, to consistently exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service is essential, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary.
- Strong proficiency in the English language, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interactions.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights (minimum of 20 lbs).
- Capability to bend, lift, and remain standing or walking throughout the shift.
- Clear communication of information and ideas is essential.
- Quick and accurate evaluation of alternative courses of action is required.
- Ability to perform well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
- Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and team members.
- Willingness to undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
