Prysmian Cables and Systems Usa LLC is seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to support the Claremont Optical Fiber Manufacturing plant. As a key member of the facilities team, you will provide technical expertise in the areas of facilities management, equipment maintenance, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for facilities equipment, including HVAC, chillers, air compressors, process water systems, and high-purity gas delivery systems.
- Collaborate with technical staff from various departments to resolve daily issues and improve process efficiency.
- Generate and deploy equipment reliability projects to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong data analysis skills and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic statistical tools and detail-oriented approach.
- Motivated team player with ability to work with little supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum three years of experience in fiber optic manufacturing or related field.
- Experience with chiller maintenance and optimization, pollution control equipment, compressor maintenance and optimization, high-purity piping and gas delivery systems, fire detection equipment, and power distribution systems and UPS systems.
