About the Role

Crum & Forster is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Seneca Inland Marine team as Vice President. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in Inland Marine underwriting and operations to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business plan to achieve profitable growth in line with the company's overall strategy.
  • Lead and manage a team of underwriters, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Manage the performance management process for this profit center, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Handle account referrals, managing risks within authority and referring risks outside of authority to senior management as needed.
  • Develop and maintain producer relationships, identifying and pursuing new opportunities within scope.
  • Stay up-to-date on company products and services, clearly articulating Seneca's value proposition and underwriting appetite.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of professional experience in insurance companies, with a strong background in Inland Marine underwriting.
  • Established national broker relationships within Inland Marine/Property lines.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and drive results.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
