Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Director to join our team at Foulk Manor North. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing exceptional service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, provide, and maintain a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools, and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary, and healthy living/working environment for residents and staff.
  • Lead all departmental employee functions, providing the facility with productive, responsive employees who are well-trained and effectively managed.
  • Develop departmental, community, and corporate goals/objectives, formulate and implement tools for training evaluations and methods for follow-up, and maintain accurate documentation and meet Human Resources guidelines.
  • Implement systems and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the departmental budget, including developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis.
  • Orchestrate departmental administration, subordinate groups, and departments through effective leadership to enable the community to achieve its mission.
  • Assure that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state, and/or local laws and statutes.
  • Demonstrate technical and management knowledge, proficiency, and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.
Requirements
  • High School education required with thorough knowledge of plant operations and engineering. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • At least five years' experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry, or maintenance.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read, and interpret general business periodicals, or governmental regulations. Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
Working Conditions

The Plant Operations Director will be required to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day. Good visual and hearing acuity are required. The employee must be free of communicable disease and may be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.
