Position Overview:
As a vital part of our civil litigation team, the Paralegal IV will engage in essential tasks related to discovery, document management, and case processing. This role is integral to supporting our mission at FSA Federal, which is dedicated to providing exceptional services in law enforcement and homeland security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Oversee the intake of new cases and manage requests for ongoing cases. This includes creating and maintaining case files, tracking records, and ensuring effective communication of case details to relevant teams.
  • Data Organization: Facilitate the transfer of cases between units, ensuring that tracking databases are updated accordingly. Organize and process cases received from various sources, maintaining accurate records.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track the status of cases, including monitoring notifications and updating case files. Report on workflow and case progress to management.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere to strict security protocols, including managing permissions for case information and responding to changes in case requirements.
  • Technical Coordination: Provide support for technical and data processing needs related to case management.
  • Closure Procedures: Ensure that cases are concluded in accordance with established standard operating procedures, with all related documents properly filed or uploaded.
  • Mailbox Management: Monitor dedicated mailboxes for discovery work requests and coordinate case assignments based on incoming requests.
  • Reporting: Generate management reports utilizing data from case tracking systems, including proficiency in Excel and pivot tables.

Telework Policy:
This position requires onsite work and is not currently eligible for telework.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of automated litigation support experience, with a preference for Veritas experience.
  • Trial experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research principles and eDiscovery tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Citizenship Requirement:
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a comprehensive background investigation.
