Job Summary:

As an Electrical Equipment Technician at Archer Daniels Midland Company, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical equipment across various plant operations. This is a full-time, hourly position that requires general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in safety and skills training to enhance personal improvement.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment, and operations to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance duties on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical failures and perform repairs on production and facilities equipment as required.
  • Install new equipment and perform preventative maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Possess general computer use knowledge.
  • Maintain manuals of replacement parts, specifications, blueprints of equipment, and maintenance requirements to facilitate repairs and maintain records for future reference.
  • Document work order time, work performed, and parts used by completing time records through the Maintenance Management System.
  • Conduct regular inspections of tools, safety, and production equipment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of hand and power tools used in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Good regular and prompt attendance record.
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required.
  • Assist in keeping the department in tour-ready condition.
  • Prefer a minimum of 3-5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience and/or a two-year degree.
  • Must successfully complete all ADM Safety Certification requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of process equipment.
Requirements:
  • Good regular and prompt attendance history.
  • Excellent safety record and awareness.
  • Previous plant/process experience.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:
    • Automation/PLC.
    • Low/Medium Voltage.
    • Mechanical.
    • 480V 3PH wiring, diagnostics, and repair.
    • Millwright.
    • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
    • Mobile Equipment (forklift or manlift).
    • Rigging.
Working Conditions:
  • Working shifts are 4 days a week for 10 hours.
  • May be called in to work unusual or extended schedules due to equipment breakdowns or similar circumstances.
  • Working with numerous types of machines and processes.
  • Indoor and outdoor.
  • Climbing stairs frequently.
  • Lifting.
